Decree No. 4 which was published in the Federal Republic of Nigeria (Extraordinary Official Gazette No.16 Vol. 73 of 21st March, 1986 gave birth to the Federal College of Education (Technical), Asaba in Delta State of Nigeria. the college began in 1987 at the former Asaba technical College, (ATC) at its temporary site. Asaba is a rapidly developing Urban Centre and the administrative headquarters of Delta State. The permanent site of the college is along Asaba/Ibusa Road. The College consist of the School of Education, the School of Business Education, the School of Technical Education, the School of Vocational Education and the School of Computer and Science Education. The basic mission of the college is to improve the quality of Technical Education.

Whats new

IJMB is an acronym for Interim Joint Matriculation Board. An advanced-level program approved by the Federal Government, moderated by Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and Certified by the National University Commission (NUC). The program started in 1976 at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. It spread gradually across all the tertiary institutions in the North West, North East, North Central, and Southwest, and currently it's almost spreading across South-South and South East. IJMB PROGRAM is a year-long program with two semesters. Candidates are to choose three Advance level subjects relevant to their chosen course of study at the university.
